Why is IIT becoming the first choice for management?

Whereas the management departments of IIT were established from the late 1990s to the mid-2000s. In recent years, IIT schools have increased their performance, and today every year two to three IIT institutes are ranked in the top 10 government management colleges. IITs have adequate funding for research. Professor Rajesh Srinivas Upadhyayula, Dean of IIM Kozhikode, says that the team of teachers and researchers at IIT is very strong. Apart from this, IITs do not face any shortage of funding for research from the government. On the other hand, IIMs have been focusing on research only in recent years, due to which their research ranking has lagged behind IITs.
