Math Solving Tricks: Bank, SSC or Railway, the exam will be over in one go, follow this routine for studying..
Math Tricks for Competitive Exams: Smart planning is essential for success in competitive exams like Bank, SSC, and Railway. Experts say that instead of immersing yourself in books all day, clearing the exam with a dedicated schedule makes it easier to study. Experts agree on this.
Studying While on the Job
Ashish Tiwari, a well-known banking and SSC coaching expert from Palamu, says that if a student is preparing while working, there's no need to worry. Just six hours of focused study is enough. He says that most students are troubled by compound interest (C.I.) questions in mathematics, even though they can be solved in simpler ways.
The Tree Method Will Solve It
Palamu's math expert, Ashish Sir, has described the Tree (Triangle Method) as the easiest way to solve compound interest questions. This method makes calculating C.I. for two to three years very easy.
Ashish Sir explains that if you have a strong grasp of the three main pillars of competitive exams – Math, Reasoning, and English – then no exam will be difficult. The tree method allows students to reach answers directly without engaging in lengthy calculations, saving time and securing marks.
Adopting the right study pattern is crucial during preparation.
Dedicate the first two hours of the day to Math, as math is easier to understand with a fresh mind. NCERT books for Math help strengthen the foundation. Practice Reasoning in the second sitting, and for this, read a single book from a reputable publisher like Arihant. It's advisable to read a single book 25 times to gain a grasp that cannot be achieved even by reading 10 books.
Too many books mean confusion.
The third sitting should be devoted to English. For each subject, only one book should be used as a base. Too many books increase confusion, not a clear understanding. Following this timetable consistently for eight months consistently will definitely yield results. There should be no interruptions during the six-hour study period. If there is noise or disturbance at home, it's best to go to the library and study.
