Major Update on NEET Re-Exam: Candidates Can Change Address and Exam City Until May 21..
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released important information regarding the re-examination for NEET (UG) 2026. The re-exam is scheduled to be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026. The examination will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM; this timeframe includes the time allotted for examination-related formalities. The exam will be conducted in an offline mode—specifically, the pen-and-paper format—and will be administered in 13 languages.
The NTA has also provided candidates with an opportunity to update their current address and choice of examination city. The window for making these changes will remain open on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, from May 15 until 11:50 PM on May 21, 2026. Students will be able to select their first and second preferred examination cities. For students who do not exercise this option, their previously selected city preference will be considered valid.
**Changes Permitted Only for Current Address and Examination City**
The NTA has clarified that changes will be permitted solely for the current address and the choice of examination city. No corrections or modifications to any other personal details will be entertained. Requests for any changes submitted after May 21 will not be accepted. No additional fee will be charged to students for this process. The City Intimation Slip, Admit Card, and other essential information will be released on the official website by June 14.
