This will enable teachers to prepare for the exam without work-related pressure and ensure they reach the exam centers on time.

Why was this decision taken?

Teachers in Uttar Pradesh had long been raising the concern that balancing job responsibilities with exam preparation and attendance was extremely difficult. In view of this, the government decided to grant special leave during the examination period. This move is expected to provide relief to the teachers appearing for the exam.

Why is UPTET mandatory?

A key feature of this exam is that there will be no negative marking. Candidates appearing for the UP TET are advised to keep all necessary documents ready alongside their exam preparations.
