NTA: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced major reforms aimed at making the examination system more transparent, secure, and technologically robust. In a press release issued on Tuesday, the agency stated that, following recent controversies and questions raised regarding the examination process, several significant steps are now being taken to strengthen its institutional framework.

The NTA stated that, based on the recommendations of a high-level expert committee constituted by the Central Government, work has been undertaken over the past few weeks to strengthen its leadership, technical infrastructure, and monitoring mechanisms. The agency asserts that the objective of these reforms is to enhance the credibility and transparency of major examinations conducted across the country.

**Deployment of Four Senior Officials at the NTA**
The agency informed that four senior officials from the Central Government have been appointed to the NTA. Of these, two officials are at the Joint Secretary level, and two are at the Director level. The Joint Secretary-level officials will be assigned responsibilities as Additional Directors General (ADGs).

According to the NTA, the appointment of experienced administrative officials will boost the agency's operational efficiency and enable the conduct of examinations to be managed more effectively.

**Recruitment for CTO, CFO, and GM (HR) Positions**
The NTA has also invited applications for three key specialist positions. These include Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Finance Officer (CFO), and General Manager—Human Resources (GM-HR).

**Role of the Chief Technology Officer**
The Chief Technology Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the examination system is fully technologically robust. This will involve overseeing systems such as the digital examination platform, question paper security, cybersecurity, and biometric and facial authentication mechanisms.

**Responsibilities of the Chief Finance Officer**
The Chief Finance Officer will manage financial administration, accounting systems, and audit-related functions about the examinations.

**What will the General Manager—Human Resources do?**
The General Manager—HR will oversee matters related to the agency's workforce, training, human resource policies, and initiatives to improve the organizational work culture.

Major Changes to the Examination System
The NTA has announced that, under a reform program, technical security measures regarding question paper preparation, printing, and logistics will be enhanced. Furthermore, steps such as AI-based surveillance, biometric verification, data analytics, and continuous monitoring will be implemented.

The agency also stated that mechanisms for addressing candidate grievances, ensuring transparency, and facilitating communication will be strengthened. According to the NTA, this entire process is being implemented under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and the Department of Higher Education.
