Maharashtra FYJC Admission 2026: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has released the Class 10 (SSC) results. Following this, an updated schedule for the online Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for First Year Junior College (FYJC) has been issued.
Students had already been permitted to register by filling out the first part of the form (Part 1), which contains basic details regarding the candidates. Now, the second part of the form (Part 2) has also been opened for students aspiring to join FYJC. A provisional general merit list is scheduled to be declared on May 14.
**Over 800,000 Students Have Filled Part-1**
Since the previous academic session, the online CAP facility for FYJC admissions has been extended to cover all junior colleges across the entire state. For the academic session 2026-27, students were provided the facility to fill out Part 1 of the form starting from April 10, 2026. According to information provided by the Director of School (Secondary) Education, approximately 800,000 students had already completed filling out Part-1 of the form by May 8, the day the SSC results were declared.
Part 2 of the form—which is now open for candidates to fill—requires information such as the marks obtained in Class 10, as well as the names of preferred colleges listed in order of priority for admission (ranging from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 10 choices).
**How Many Rounds in the Admission Process?**
The admission process will consist of three regular rounds. A fourth round will be open to all eligible candidates. Additionally, there will be a special fifth round exclusively for female students. Students are requested to complete the registration process in strict accordance with the provided instructions. Currently, two schedules have been released: one for the 'Zero Round' (which covers admissions under Minority, Management, and In-house quotas) and a second for the first CAP round (which covers regular admissions).
