LU releases PG seat allotment list; KKC issues first merit list for LLB..

The admission process for higher education institutions in Lucknow has now reached a crucial stage. Lucknow University (LU) has advanced the seat allocation process via online counseling for postgraduate (PG) courses for the 2026-27 session. The university has released seat allotment lists for various subjects. Meanwhile, Shri Jai Narain Mishra PG College (KKC) has released its first merit list for admission to the LLB program.

Counseling and document verification for students selected by KKC will take place from August 10 to August 12. It is essential for students securing admission at either institution to keep the scheduled dates in mind.

**KKC Releases First LLB Merit List**
The first LLB merit list for Shri Jai Narain Mishra PG College is available on the college's website, jnpg.ac.in. Counseling and document verification for selected candidates will be held on August 10, 11, and 12, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Students must bring the necessary documents with them. Failure to complete the counseling process or deposit the fees within the stipulated time may result in the forfeiture of the seat claim.

Regarding the cut-off marks, the cut-off for the General category was 72.90% for men and 69.50% for women. For the OBC category, it stood at 66.74% and 63.36%, respectively. In the SC category, the cut-off was 61.14% for men and 58.25% for women. For the EWS category, the cut-off was 65.11% for men and 64.62% for women. The cut-off for ST female candidates was 53.67%.

**LU Releases Seat Allotment List for 20 PG Courses**
Lucknow University has released seat allocation details for 20 postgraduate courses. The first list includes subjects such as MA in English, Political Science, Economics, History, Geography, and Sociology, as well as MSc in Zoology, Botany, Computer Science, and Microbiology. The second list includes courses such as M.Sc. in Statistics and Chemistry, M.Lib.Sc., and M.A. in Education. The third list comprises courses like B.Lib.Sc. and M.Sc. in Anthropology, Biochemistry, and Biotechnology.

**Seat confirmation fee must be deposited by midnight**
Students who have been allotted a seat must deposit the seat confirmation fee online by midnight on August 9. The university has also released the provisional complete merit lists for four other PG courses. Students are advised to refer only to the official websites of the respective institutions for information regarding admission.
