Last Chance for NEET UG Fee Refund: NTA Extends Deadline to Update Bank Details

There is welcome news for candidates awaiting their NEET UG fee refund. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for updating bank account details.

If you appeared for the NEET UG exam and are waiting for a fee refund, here is some good news. The NTA has extended the deadline to update or verify bank account information. Candidates can now review or correct their bank details until 11:50 PM on July 7, 2026.

This decision has been made with students in mind who were previously unable to provide accurate bank details within the stipulated time or who made errors while entering their account information. The NTA maintains that no eligible candidate’s fee refund should be withheld due to minor technical errors.

According to the notice issued by the agency, the refund portal will remain open until July 7. During this period, candidates can view their bank details, make corrections, or update information if necessary.

Two-Step Verification Required

To update bank details, candidates must first log in to the registration portal and complete the two-factor authentication process. Only then can changes be made to the bank account information.

Option to Upload Cancelled Cheque

If necessary, candidates can also upload a cancelled cheque to verify their bank account. This facilitates the verification of bank details and minimizes the likelihood of issues arising during the refund process.

Verify Information Before Submission

The NTA has clarified that once authentication is complete and bank details are submitted, that information will be considered final. Therefore, candidates should thoroughly check details such as the account number, IFSC code, account holder’s name, and other information before submitting the form. Even a minor error could delay the fee refund.

How to Update Bank Details

First, visit the official NEET UG website. Click on the link titled ‘Final Opportunity to Confirm/Update Bank Account Details for NEET (UG) 2026 Fee Refund’. Next, sign in using your login credentials. Navigate to the dashboard and select the ‘Bank Account Details Confirmation/Updation’ option. Carefully review your bank information here and make changes if necessary. Once all details are correct, submit the form and download the confirmation page for your records.
