KVS Admission Quota: There are many types of quotas for admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas. One of which used to be the MP quota. It was abolished by the central government in the year 2022. But there is nothing to worry about. There are still many types of quotas, through which admission is given in Kendriya Vidyalayas. You may not know that admissions are also done in class 11th in KVS under the sports quota.
Talented players get admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas through sports quota. For this, the meritorious player child should have secured first, second, or third position in SGFI/CBSE/National/State level games organized by the government.
Rules for admission in 11th through sports quota
According to the notification, students of Sports/NCC/Scout/Guide/Adventure quota in KVS get a maximum relaxation of 6% marks. There is a rule to upgrade a total of 4% marks for admission in 11th to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC/CwSN. These benefits are also available to non-KV students.

Process of admission in 11th
The entrance examination is conducted for admission in the 11th class in Kendriya Vidyalayas. After this, a separate merit list will be prepared for the priority category. The entrance examination will be conducted in Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Science, and Science subjects. There is only one paper for the entrance examination, which is of 3 hours duration. This examination is of 100 marks.
