The admission process for schools under the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has already commenced. Every year, a large number of parents plan to secure admission for their children in Kendriya Vidyalayas. In this context, having accurate information regarding the fee structure is crucial to avoid any complications during the admission process.

At Kendriya Vidyalayas, fees are determined based on the specific class levels. These fees comprise the Admission Fee, Tuition Fee, Computer Fee, and the Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi (VVN) or School Development Fund. A key feature is that fees for all classes are collected on a quarterly basis, and multiple payment options are available.

A very nominal fee is charged at the time of admission to a Kendriya Vidyalaya. The Admission Fee is a mere ₹25, while a re-admission entails a charge of ₹100. This fee is a one-time payment.

No tuition fee is charged for students studying in Classes 1 through 8. For boys in Classes 9 and 10, the tuition fee is fixed at ₹200 per month. Meanwhile, for students in Classes 11 and 12, the tuition fee is ₹300 per month for those in the Arts and Commerce streams, and ₹400 per month for those in the Science stream.

For students in Class 3 and above, the Computer Fee is set at ₹100 per month. However, students in Classes 11 and 12 who opt for Computer Science are required to pay ₹150 per month. Additionally, a sum of ₹500 per month is collected from all students across Classes 1 to 12 as the Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi (School Development Fund).

Kendriya Vidyalaya fees are deposited on a quarterly basis. Students and parents can make these payments online, offline, via mobile banking, or through PoS machines. The official Kendriya Vidyalaya website and various banking facilities are available for this purpose. At Kendriya Vidyalayas, fee concessions are granted to students belonging to various categories.
