KMAT 2026: An important update has been released for candidates preparing for MBA admissions in Kerala. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala has changed the exam date for the Kerala Management Aptitude Test (K-MAT) 2026. The exam will now be held on February 22, 2026.  Along with this, the last date for online application for KMAT 2026 has also been extended.

According to the new schedule, candidates can apply until 4 PM on February 5, 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can register online through the official website of CEE Kerala, cee.kerala.gov.in.

Application Fee
The application fee for the Kerala Management Aptitude Test is determined according to the category.

General and SEBC category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs. 1,000.
The application fee for Scheduled Caste (SC) category candidates is Rs. 500.

Scheduled Tribe (ST) category candidates are completely exempt from the application fee.

Computer-Based Test Pattern
The Kerala Management Aptitude Test 2026 will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). This exam will be held in all districts of Kerala. The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours.

The paper will consist of a total of 180 multiple-choice questions. Each question will carry 4 marks, meaning the exam will be for a total of 720 marks. There will also be a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.

Which subjects will the questions be from?
The Kerala Management Aptitude Test 2026 question paper will test the candidates' language skills, mathematical ability, and logical reasoning. The examination will primarily consist of questions from the following subjects:

English Language Usage & Reading Comprehension
Quantitative Aptitude
Data Sufficiency
Logical Reasoning
General Knowledge & Current Affairs

All these sections aim to assess the candidate's overall aptitude for management studies.

What are the qualifying marks?
To be eligible for MBA admission, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in the Kerala Management Aptitude Test 2026.

Candidates belonging to the General and SEBC categories must obtain at least 10% (72 marks) of the total marks.
For candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, the minimum qualifying marks are set at 7.5% (54 marks).

Candidates who qualify in the Kerala Management Aptitude Test will be eligible for admission to MBA courses in various universities, their departments, and affiliated management colleges (including autonomous colleges) in Kerala. However, passing the exam does not guarantee admission; it only establishes eligibility.
