Today—May 21st—marks the final deadline to apply for the Jharkhand TET (JTET 2026) examination. **One Opportunity for Application Corrections**
According to a notification issued by the Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi, the Board has decided to open a correction window following requests received from candidates. As per the notice, the correction window will become active after the application submission period concludes. Subsequently, candidates will be able to make necessary corrections online within the specified dates.

**Application Fee Structure**
For the Jharkhand TET examination—specifically for applying to a single level (either Primary or Upper Primary)—candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay ₹1,300, while those in the SC and ST categories must pay ₹700. For candidates belonging to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), the fee is fixed at ₹500. Furthermore, candidates applying for examinations at *both* levels must pay fees according to their respective categories: ₹1,500, ₹800, or ₹600.

Eligibility and Criteria
To participate in the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) 2026, candidates must possess the following qualifications—depending on the specific level—along with a Class 12 pass: D.El.Ed / BTC / B.El.Ed / a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) / a Graduation degree accompanied by a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / a Graduation degree accompanied by a Diploma (D.El.Ed) / B.Ed / a Graduation or Post-Graduation degree accompanied by a B.Ed / Shiksha Shastri (Regular) / a 4-year B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed or B.El.Ed / B.Ed (Special Education) / or a Graduation degree accompanied by a 1-year B.Ed (Special Education), among others.

The minimum age of the candidate must not be less than 21 years, calculated as of August 1, 2026. For this examination cycle, an additional age relaxation of 9 years has been granted in the upper age limit.
