JoSAA 2024: How to get admission in IIT, NIT after JEE Advanced result? The counseling process will start today

Registration for JoSAA 2024 is starting today, candidates who have been successful in JEE Advanced will be able to apply by visiting the official website.

JoSAA Counseling 2024: The results of the JEE Advanced exam have been released. All the candidates who have passed this exam now will have to participate in the counseling process for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), National Institutes of Technology (NIT), and other engineering colleges. Joint Seat Allocation Authority i.e. JoSAA will start the process of registration and filling of options for JoSAA counseling today, June 10.

Let us inform you that 48,248 candidates have passed the JEE Advanced exam, in which Ved Lahoti of IIT Delhi Zone is at the top in the general rank list. The JoSAA counseling process will be conducted for engineering admissions in 114 institutes, including 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 26 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IITs), and 34 other technical institutes.

Candidates who have passed this exam can apply to participate in the counseling by visiting the official website of JoSAA, josaa.nic.in. Candidates have to register and fill in their preferences for the course and institute. To assist the students, JoSAA will allot two mock seats based on the options submitted by June 14 and June 16, the results of which will come on June 15 and June 17.

What is the last date?

Keep in mind that the registration and option-filling process will end on June 18, followed by data reconciliation and seat verification on June 19. The first round of seat allotment is scheduled for June 20, followed by subsequent rounds on June 27, July 4, July 10, and July 17. Online reporting, including fee submission, document upload, and answering questions, will be mandatory for each round.
