JMI Admission 2026: Jamia Millia Islamia has announced the admission process for the M.Sc. Biotechnology program for the 2026-28 academic session. According to a notification issued by the university's Controller of Examinations office, online applications will commence on July 10. Interested candidates can apply via admission.jmi.ac.in until July 20.
This two-year program is conducted in collaboration with the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology. Admission will be based entirely on GAT-B scores, and the university's admission and reservation policies will apply. A total of 10 seats are available for the program. To apply, candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in B.Pharm, B.Sc., or a degree in Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, or a related modern biology subject.

To prepare youth for entrepreneurship, digital skills, and employment, Jamia Millia Islamia’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is offering admission opportunities for short-term skill courses. The registration process has begun, and interested candidates can apply online at https://admission.jmi.ac.in/ until July 12. Four skill-based courses will be conducted under Jamia’s Smart Academy for Digital Technology and Digital Entrepreneurship.
These include Digital Entrepreneurship, Advanced Digital Marketing, AI-Driven Data Analysis, and UI/UX. All courses will be conducted in offline mode, featuring practical training alongside expert guidance. According to the university, these programs have been designed in alignment with national initiatives such as Skill India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. Their objective is to enhance the employability of youth and foster startup capabilities and digital proficiency.
