4 Types of Courses in Polytechnics
Many types of diploma courses are available in UP Polytechnics. These courses are divided into several groups, but mainly they are officially categorized into 4 groups. Let's find out which courses are available.
Group A - Engineering Courses - Group A of UP Polytechnics offers engineering courses. This group includes engineering courses in the main trades. These 3-year engineering diploma courses are considered equivalent to lateral entry courses for B.Tech. Group E - Pharmacy Course: The Pharmacy course is available in Group E of UP Polytechnic. This is a two-year diploma course called Diploma in Pharmacy (D Pharma).
Courses from Group B to L: Groups B to L of UP Polytechnic include diploma courses such as Fashion Designing, Home Science, and Textile Design/Printing, which are for students who have passed the 10th grade.
Courses from Group K1 to K8: Engineering courses are also available in Groups K1 to K8 of UP Polytechnic, but these courses are for students who have completed ITI and are eligible for lateral entry into the polytechnic.
