JEE Main: When can I register for JEE Main Session 2? The form filling link is available here...
JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration: The JEE Main Session 2 exam will be held in April 2026. Like JEE Main Session 1, millions of candidates will appear for the Session 2 exam. Candidates who appeared for the JEE Main Session 1 exam can also appear for the Session 2 exam. The application process for the JEE Main Session 2 exam began on February 1, 2026. Interested candidates can register on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in until February 25, 2026. There will be no further extensions after this.
The JEE Main Session 2 exam is especially important for students who wish to improve their previous scores or who, for some reason, were unable to apply for the first session. According to engineering entrance exam rules, the top score obtained in both sessions is considered for final ranking. It is important to register as early as possible to avoid last-minute technical issues and server overload.

How to Apply for JEE Main Session 2?
Filling the JEE Main form is a multi-step process. First, candidates must register on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. They will then receive a unique application number. Next, they must enter personal details, educational qualifications, and select an exam center. The final step of the process involves uploading documents and paying the required fees.
Checklist of Mandatory Documents for JEE Main
To ensure data accuracy when filling out the form, have these documents ready in advance:
Photograph: A recent color or black and white photo (80% of the face should be clearly visible).
Signature: A clear signature in black ink on white paper.
Marksheet: Class 10th and 12th roll number and marks obtained.
Identification Proof: Aadhaar card, PAN card, or other government-recognized ID.
What is the benefit of taking JEE Main Session 2?
The two-session system of JEE Main provides flexibility to students. If a candidate performs better in Session 2, only that score will be given priority when preparing the merit list. This is especially beneficial for candidates who, while preparing for the 12th board exam, could not score well in JEE Main Session 1.
Pay Fees Carefully
Many candidates submit the JEE Main exam form, but the fee payment remains pending. Please note that the application will not be considered complete until the bank generates a 'success' message and a 'confirmation page'. When making payments through net banking, credit/debit cards, or UPI, preserve the transaction receipt for future reference.
Select an exam center while filling out the form.
This year, the NTA has expanded its network of exam centers, increasing the number of exam centers. Candidates are now given the option to select a center based on their permanent or current address. Furthermore, the language of the question paper (e.g., Hindi, English, or regional languages) must be selected at the time of registration and cannot be changed later.
