There is important news for candidates appearing in the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 Session 1.  The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a revised exam schedule for the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination.

Previously, the exam was scheduled to be held from January 21st to January 30th. However, the NTA has changed the exam dates. According to the new notification issued by the NTA, the exam will now be conducted from January 21st to January 29th, 2026.

New Exam Dates
According to the new notification issued by the NTA, the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 Session-1 exam will be held from January 21st to January 29th. Paper-1 (BE and B.Tech) exams will be conducted on January 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, and 28th, 2026. This exam will be held in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second shift will be from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Additionally, the Paper-2 exam will be held on January 29th, 2026. This exam will be conducted in one shift from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.


The NTA also released the exam city slips this morning, January 8th. Candidates can check their exam city information using the following steps:

To download the exam city slip, first visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Now, on the website's homepage, click on the "Advance City Intimation for JEE(Main)-2026 [Session-I] is LIVE!" link.
After clicking on the link, submit your login credentials.
After filling in the login details, the exam city slip will open on your screen.
Finally, be sure to take a printout of it.
