Registration for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main) 2027 Session 1 could begin at any time. Last year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) accepted applications from October through November. Therefore, students planning to appear for the JEE Main 2027 exam should prepare all the required documents in advance to avoid any issues while filling out the form.
Documents required for filling out the form?
According to the NTA, students should ensure their documents are updated as per the following points before filling out the JEE Main form:
A- Aadhaar Card: The Aadhaar card must be updated with the correct name, date of birth (as per the Class 10 certificate), a recent photograph, address, and father's name.
B- UDID Card (for Persons with Disabilities): The UDID card must be valid, updated, and renewed as required.
C- Category Certificate: Students belonging to EWS, SC, ST, or OBC-NCL categories should obtain a new category certificate or get their existing one updated. Additionally, students should keep a valid email address and phone number ready.
JEE Main 2027 Exam Date: Session 1 Exam Dates Announced
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has already announced the dates for the JEE Main Session 1 exam. The exam will be conducted over a total of six days: January 22–24 and January 28–30, 2027. Additionally, January 31, 2027, has been kept as a reserved date for the exam.
Eligibility to appear for the exam
To participate in the JEE Main exam, students must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as subjects. Students currently studying in Class 12 are also eligible to apply. There is no age limit for appearing in this exam.
Application Fee
Candidates belonging to the unreserved category are required to pay ₹1,000; candidates from the General-OBC and General-EWS categories must pay ₹900; and female candidates from the Unreserved, General-OBC, and General-EWS categories are required to pay ₹800. The application fee for the SC, ST, Transgender, and PwD categories is set at ₹500. All candidates can pay the fee online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.
