Preparing for JEE Main 2027? Find out how many units are included in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, what changes (if any) have been made to the syllabus, and what you should keep in mind while preparing for the exam.

Important news for students aspiring to secure admission into engineering colleges: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the syllabus for JEE Main 2027. Students can now review the topics for each subject and plan their studies accordingly. There are no changes to the syllabus compared to last year. The examination, which serves as the gateway for admission into B.E. and B.Tech programs, covers a total of 54 units across Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

What’s in the JEE Main 2027 Syllabus?

Students appearing for the JEE Main 2027 examination will need to prepare for three core subjects. Mathematics consists of 14 units, while Physics and Chemistry each contain 20 units, bringing the total to 54 units across all three subjects. Since the syllabus remains unchanged from last year, students can continue to use the previous year’s syllabus and their existing study notes. However, it is advisable to review the current syllabus before beginning your studies to ensure that no essential topics are overlooked.

What to Study in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry?

Mathematics includes topics such as Algebra, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, Integration, Differential Equations, Vectors, and Probability. In Physics, students will need to study topics related to Motion, Laws of Motion, Work and Energy, Gravitation, Thermodynamics, Electricity, Magnetism, Optics, and Atomic Physics.

Chemistry covers topics such as Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Chemical Reactions, Solutions, the Classification of Elements, and Organic Chemistry. Students should strive to allocate an equal amount of time to the preparation of all three subjects.

Syllabus Released for B.Arch and B.Planning Students

In addition to engineering, JEE Main also serves as an entrance examination for architecture and planning courses. The B.Arch question paper includes Mathematics, an Aptitude Test, and a Drawing Test. The B.Planning question paper, on the other hand, consists of Mathematics, an Aptitude Test, and questions related to planning.

Students preparing for these courses should study according to the specific question paper for their chosen course. To access the syllabus, visit the official website, where you can locate and download the relevant syllabus. Practicing with previous years' question papers is also helpful for understanding the nature of the exam questions and guiding your preparation strategy.
