Just a week before the JEE Main 2026 Session-1 exam, the NTA has decided to postpone the exam scheduled for January 23 in West Bengal. According to the NTA, the exam has been postponed due to Saraswati Puja on January 23.  Considering this religious and cultural festival, the agency has taken this step for the convenience of the students. The NTA has clarified that a new exam date will be announced soon for candidates whose exam centers were in West Bengal and whose exams were scheduled for January 23.

Following the postponement of the exam in West Bengal, the question now arises whether the JEE Main exam on January 23 will also be postponed in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and other states.
