JEE Main 2026 Postponed: A significant update has emerged regarding the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2026) for lakhs of students aspiring to pursue engineering studies. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has taken a major decision regarding the JEE Main exam scheduled for January 23, 2026. The exam has been postponed in West Bengal due to Saraswati Puja. This decision has raised several questions among students and parents, especially concerning other states where this festival is celebrated on a large scale.

Exam Date Changed Due to Saraswati Puja
Just a week before the JEE Main 2026 Session-1 exam, the NTA has decided to postpone the exam scheduled for January 23 in West Bengal. According to the NTA, the exam has been postponed due to Saraswati Puja on January 23.  Considering this religious and cultural festival, the agency has taken this step for the convenience of the students. The NTA has clarified that a new exam date will be announced soon for candidates whose exam centers were in West Bengal and whose exams were scheduled for January 23.

Will JEE Main be postponed in other states as well?
Following the postponement of the exam in West Bengal, the question now arises whether the JEE Main exam on January 23 will also be postponed in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and other states. Students and parents hope that the NTA might take a similar decision for other states, considering the circumstances.
