JEE Main 2026: The application process for the Joint Entrance Test (JEE) Main 2026 is ongoing. According to the schedule released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), applications for JEE Main Session 1 can be submitted until November 27th. JEE Main 2026 Session 1 is scheduled to be held from January 21st to 30th, 2026. Overall, the application process for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 is nearing its conclusion. With only about two months left for JEE Main 2026 Session 1, this is the time to sharpen your exam preparation and balance your board exam preparation.

In this series, let's explore five revision techniques and master tips for scoring well in JEE Main 2026 Session 1. TV9 spoke with JEE expert Ramesh Batlish of Aakash Invictus.

Revision
Most students will have completed their preparations for the JEE Main 2026 session. Therefore, focus on revision now. Use short notes and flashcards for effective revision.

Take tests by chapter. Maintain an error log to identify and correct frequent mistakes.

Focus on solving problems rather than rereading theory.

Revise reactions, key concepts, and formulas at least twice a week.

Mock Test Strategy
Take at least one mock test each week. Increase the number as you approach the exam, and take at least 3 to 4 mock tests per week.

After each mock test, analyze your accuracy in answering questions, the time spent per question, and the topic with the most mistakes.

Practice to complete the mock test in 2 hours and 45 minutes. After that, take time to review.

Balance your preparation for board exams.
Prepare for the JEE Main exam while simultaneously preparing for the 12th board exams. Many 12th-grade subjects align with the JEE Main syllabus.

Use NCERT textbooks for your preparation. This is especially beneficial for Chemistry.

Allocate at least 25% of your JEE Main preparation time to board exam preparation.

Important for a better score
To achieve a better score, it's important to avoid using too many online sources. Instead, rely on your primary study material.

Record one formula and one mistake in your notebook every day. Revise it every week.

Make a habit of regular revision.

Avoid burnout – take short breaks, eat well, and maintain a healthy routine.

Keep trying consistently. Even 6-8 hours of focused time a day can yield excellent results.

Pay more attention to mental health; this is the game-changer.

Stay positive and self-motivated while preparing for JEE Main.

Don't compare yourself to others during preparation. Measure your progress against your goals.

Practice relaxation and breathing techniques to manage exam stress.

Pay attention to these things.
Aakash tells Ramesh Batlish, JEE expert at Invictus, that along with revision techniques and master tips, it's important to pay attention to a few things. He says that it's important for students not to try to be perfect. The key is to keep trying. Also, stay connected with your teachers and mentors and keep addressing your doubts.
