JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip: The exam cities for the first session of JEE Main 2026, one of the most challenging entrance exams in the country, have been announced. The National Testing Agency (NTA) activated the city intimation slip link on the official portal jeemain.nta.nic.in on January 8, 2026. More than 1.45 million registered students can check their allotted exam cities through the JEE Main city intimation slip.

The JEE Main Session 1 2026 exams will be held between January 21 and January 29, 2026. The JEE Main 2026 exam will be held in two shifts: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Students should note that this city intimation slip is not their admit card. Admit cards will be issued separately three to four days before the exam date. To download the JEE Main 2026 city slip, candidates will need to use their application number and date of birth.

What is the difference between a city slip and an admit card?
Many students mistake the city intimation slip for the admit card, but there are significant differences between the two:
City slip: It only provides information about the exam city and date. This makes travel arrangements easier.
Admit card: It contains the name, address, shift timings, and important instructions of the JEE Main exam center. Without this, entry to the exam center will be prohibited.

Important Instructions for Students
To avoid any inconvenience at the exam center, the NTA has issued some guidelines:
Check the distance of the city allotted to you on your city slip, and if it is far away, ensure you book a bus or train now.
If you notice any discrepancies in your CT slip, immediately contact the NTA helpline number 011-40759000.
In the final stages of preparation, focus on mock tests and previous year question papers (PYQs).
The JEE Main 2026 exam is just a few days away. It's best to focus on revision rather than new reading.
