JEE Main 2026: A major decision has been taken in view of the objections received from students regarding Saraswati Puja falling on January 23, 2026, in West Bengal. Accordingly, all candidates appearing for the JEE Main 2026 (Session-1) exam in West Bengal on January 23, 2026, will be given an alternative exam date.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that all such students will get an opportunity to appear for the JEE Main 2026 Session-1 exam on another day from the declared exam dates. This means that no candidate from West Bengal will have to take the exam on the day of Saraswati Puja.
The NTA has taken this decision keeping in mind the religious sentiments and practical difficulties of the students. Information regarding the new exam date will be provided to the candidates later.

Paper-2A exam will be held on January 29, 2026.
