JEE Main 2026 Advisory: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an official advisory for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2026. The agency has advised candidates seeking admission to engineering (BTech), architecture (BArch), and planning (BPlanning) programs to update their Aadhaar card, UDID card, and category certificate (EWS, SC, ST, OBC-NCL) well in advance to avoid any errors or rejections during the application process.
Which documents are required to be updated?
To ensure a smooth examination process, the NTA has advised candidates to update their documents before applying. These include:
Aadhaar card – must contain the correct name, date of birth (as per Class 10 certificate), latest photo, address, and father's name.
UDID card (for PwD candidates) – must be valid, updated, and renewed on time.
Category Certificate – Updated and valid certificates are mandatory for EWS, SC, ST, and OBC-NCL candidates.
The NTA states that if documents are not updated correctly and in a timely, they may result in application discrepancies, complaints, and application rejections. Therefore, candidates are advised to check and update all documents promptly.
