Students awaiting registration for JEE Advanced 2026 can expect their wait to end next month. Just a few days ago, IIT Roorkee released the complete schedule for the JEE Advanced 2026 examination, sharing all relevant details ranging from the registration dates to the actual exam dates. According to the schedule, JEE Advanced—scheduled for May 17—will be conducted in two sessions on the same day. The first paper will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second paper will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Please note that to be included in the merit list, candidates must appear for both papers.

Registration for JEE Advanced 2026 will commence on April 23 and continue until May 2, 2026, while foreign nationals may begin applying as early as April 6. Applications must be submitted through the official JEE Advanced website, jeeadv.ac.in. It is worth noting that this year, in addition to the IITs, JEE Advanced scores will also be utilized for admissions to IISc Bangalore.

JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for JEE Advanced, candidates must secure a rank within the top 250,000 in Paper 1 of JEE Main 2026. Eligible candidates may apply for the exam for up to two consecutive years; furthermore, they must have passed their Class 12 examination—with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects—in either 2025 or 2026. Candidates who have already secured admission to an IIT are ineligible to apply.

What is the JEE Advanced Application Fee?

For female candidates of all categories: ₹1,600
For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates: ₹1,600

For all other candidates: ₹3,200
For female candidates (General and General-PwD): ₹1,600
Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO (Overseas) candidates:

For candidates residing in SAARC countries: US $100
For candidates residing in non-SAARC countries: US $200

Examination to be held in CBT mode
The JEE Advanced examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with the online format by attempting the mock tests available in the ‘Resources’ section of the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. As per the schedule, admit cards for this examination will be available for download from May 11 to May 17, 2026. Candidates are advised to strictly carry a hard copy (photocopy) of their admit card along with a valid identity proof to the examination center; soft copies will not be accepted.
