These new timings will come into effect on April 27 and will remain operational until the conclusion of the current academic session. Previously, school dismissal times were later in the day, forcing children to contend with harsh sunlight and heat waves while returning home. The new order is expected to provide significant relief to thousands of students and their parents.

**Rules for Higher Classes and Examinations**

The administration has clarified that this change in timings applies exclusively to students up to Class 8. For students in Classes 9 through 12, the school timings will remain unchanged, continuing as they were previously. Furthermore, no changes have been made to the schedules for school staff or for any other board or local examinations currently underway. Students in higher classes are required to report to school at their previously scheduled times for both their examinations and regular classes.

**Action Against Violators**

The District Collector has directed all private and government schools to strictly adhere to these instructions. The order explicitly states that if any school is found to violate these directives, strict legal action will be initiated against it in accordance with the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005. The administration has directed all Sub-Divisional Officers and officials of the Education Department to ensure compliance with these orders in their respective areas, so that the health of children is not compromised amidst the scorching heat.
