Summer Internship: The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) and the Digital India Corporation (DIC) have launched a Non-Technical Summer Internship Program for the year 2026. This program is being conducted under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
The objective of this internship is to provide young individuals with practical experience in fields such as digital governance, policy formulation, data management, communication, and administrative functions. This opportunity is particularly beneficial for students who wish to learn and develop their skills by engaging with government projects, the Digital India Mission, and public policy.
Who Can Apply?
Only those students who have secured a minimum of 60 percent marks in their previous examinations are eligible to apply for this internship. Additionally, applicants must either be currently enrolled at a recognized university or have recently graduated (passed out). Students in the pre-final and final years of 10+2+3, 10+2+4, Diploma, and Integrated Degree programs are also eligible for this internship.
Opportunities Across Various Fields: The internship offers opportunities to work in diverse non-technical domains. These include areas such as Program Management, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Content Writing, Data Privacy, and Cloud Computing. During this period, students will have the opportunity to participate in tasks such as preparing reports, conducting research, writing social media content, organizing training programs, and monitoring digital projects. This experience will not only enhance the practical understanding of young individuals but also strengthen their professional skills.
Duration and Stipend
This internship will be conducted from July to September 2026. The minimum duration of the internship is two months, which may be extended up to three months based on performance. Selected interns will be provided with a monthly stipend of ₹15,000. This amount will be disbursed upon the successful completion of the internship and the submission of the final report. Candidates who complete the internship will be awarded a certificate, which will prove beneficial for their future careers.

Students who have secured 60% marks are eligible to apply.
