India Post GDS Result 2026: The first merit list for the India Post GDS recruitment has been released. The list has been posted on the India Post website. Candidates who applied for this recruitment can check the merit list by visiting the official India Post website. Gramin Dak Sevak: What is the verification process?
Gramin Dak Sevak: The merit list also indicates which division of the state candidates will need to visit for the document verification process. Shortlisted candidates must bring original and two sets of self-attested photocopies of all required documents for verification.

Final Merit List Released After Medical Examination
After document verification is complete, shortlisted candidates for the India Post GDS post will be called for a medical examination. A final appointment letter will be issued only after the candidates successfully pass both the verification and medical checks.
Candidates shortlisted in the India Post GDS merit list will be required to go for document verification. They must carry two sets of photocopies along with the original documents. Required documents include a Class 10 marksheet, identity proof, residence certificate, and caste certificate.
How many positions are to be filled?
The Indian Postal Department will fill 28,636 Gramin Dak Sevak positions under this recruitment process. This recruitment drive is nationwide.
