In preparations to open a medical college in Jamia Millia Islamia, the Vice Chancellor had a special meeting with Education Minister

The Vice Chancellor of the university met the Education Minister regarding opening a medical college and starting new departments in Jamia Millia Islamia.
The pace of development of the country's well-known university Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is going to accelerate further. Jamia Vice Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif and Registrar Prof. Mohammad Mehtab Alam Rizvi met Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. In this important meeting, the future plans and new changes of the university were discussed in detail.
The biggest thing in this meeting was that there was a strong discussion about opening a medical college and starting new departments in Jamia. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan assured all possible help in this direction and said that the government is with every positive effort of Jamia. He also talked about visiting Jamia soon.
Major achievement in Dental Faculty
During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor and Registrar said that the Dental Faculty of Jamia has recently achieved a major achievement by starting the post graduation program. For this, both the officials thanked the Ministry of Education for the financial help received. He said that the support and encouragement of the Education Minister has been very important in advancing dental education.
Excellent performance of Jamia's coaching academy
During the meeting, Jamia's Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) was also discussed. The Vice Chancellor and Registrar said that every year more than 30 students from here achieve success in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. This is the result of Jamia's education quality and hard work of the students.
Funding and development projects also discussed
Jamia officials also discussed the financial condition of the university with the Education Minister. A report was also given on the status of the development projects going on under the Higher Education Financing Agency (HEFA). However, concern was also expressed over the slow pace of these projects and the minister was appealed for cooperation in this.
Apart from this, proposals were also made for the establishment of new departments in Jamia. The Education Minister listened to all the proposals carefully and assured help in every necessary initiative.
Convocation was also discussed.
In the last part of the meeting, there was also a discussion about the convocation of Jamia. It was also considered which dignitaries could be invited as the chief guest. The Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar also sought advice and support from the Minister in this regard.
