IIT Delhi and Kharagpur Not Far Behind
IIT Kharagpur recorded the highest domestic package of ₹2.14 crore per annum. Meanwhile, at IIT Delhi, the highest package touched around ₹2.5 crore per annum during the initial phase of placements. Additionally, many students received offers exceeding ₹1 crore. Students from IIT Roorkee's Data Science and Artificial Intelligence programs also secured excellent placements, with companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, and other major firms hiring them. This demonstrates the steadily growing corporate demand for talent in emerging fields like AI and Data Science.

**NIT Statistics Are Also Striking**
If you think that multi-crore rupee packages are limited only to IITs, the figures from NITs are equally impressive. At NIT Jalandhar, the highest package reached ₹1.16 crore per annum, while a student at NIT Jamshedpur secured a domestic package of ₹94.25 lakh per annum. Students at several other prominent NITs have also received offers worth crores of rupees.

**Don't Decide Based Solely on the Highest Package**
While multi-crore packages sound spectacular, such offers are typically extended to only a select few students. When choosing a college, one should also consider factors such as the average package, placement percentage, branch, faculty, research opportunities, and the campus itself.
