IIM CAT 2025 Notification: Registration for IIM CAT 2025 is going to start. A notification has been issued for the exam.
The way to admission in the prestigious management institutes of the country is now open. Notification for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 has been released. Through CAT, admission is given in MBA and other post graduate management courses in 21 IIMs and other reputed management colleges across the country. If you are also dreaming of studying from IIM, then now is the time to move ahead with full preparation.
CAT 2025 applications will start from August 1
The registration process for CAT 2025 will start from August 1, 2025 and interested candidates will be able to apply by visiting the official website iimcat.ac.in till September 13, 2025. The exam will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) in three sessions on 30 November 2025.
Admit Card and Result Date
Candidates will be able to download their admit cards from 5 November to 30 November 2025. The exam result will be declared in the first week of January 2026. The exam will be conducted in around 170 cities across the country and candidates can choose 5 exam centers of their choice.
Eligibility and Cutoff
To apply for CAT 2025, the candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks in Bachelor's Degree from any recognized university. Candidates belonging to SC/ST and PwD categories are given a relaxation of 5% in this. After the written examination, candidates will also have to pass the Group Discussion (GD) and Interview rounds. However, the selection process of each IIM may be different, which can be checked by visiting the website of the respective institute.
Increase in registration fee
This year the registration fee of CAT has also been increased. Candidates of General, OBC and EWS category will have to pay Rs 3000, while the fee for SC, ST and PwD category has been kept at Rs 1300.

The major IIMs in which admission will be done through CAT 2025 include institutes like Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Kozhikode, Rohtak, Ranchi, Raipur, Trichy, Kashipur, Udaipur, Amritsar, Sirmaur, Bodh Gaya, Sambalpur, Nagpur, Visakhapatnam, Jammu and Shillong.
