IIM Bangalore achieves a major milestone, ranking 52nd in QS MBA Rankings.

The QS Global MBA Rankings 2026 have been released. This year, IIM Bangalore has topped Indian institutions, securing 52nd place globally. IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta also made it to the top 100. This success of Indian management colleges reflects the quality of the country's education system.
QS Global MBA Rankings 2026: Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released the QS World University Rankings 2026 for global MBA and Master of Business programs. This year, Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have once again strengthened their international standing. In particular, IIM Bangalore has secured the first position among Indian institutions, ranking 52nd globally. Here's a list of other Indian institutions in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2026.

IIM Bangalore received an overall score of 70.2 this time. IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta also made it to the top 100. This is a major achievement for India, as these three institutions consistently rank among the world's best management colleges.

QS Global MBA Rankings 2026: Top Global MBA Institutions
Globally, Wharton (University of Pennsylvania) ranked first, followed by Stanford Graduate School of Business, Harvard Business School, and MIT Sloan in second, third, and fourth, respectively. QS reported that these institutions scored particularly high on parameters such as Employability, ROI, and Thought Leadership.

Indian management institutes have also made their presence felt outside the top 100. IIM Indore showed significant improvement, moving up from the 201–250 range to the 151–200 rank band. Meanwhile, IIM Kozhikode and IIM Udaipur slipped to lower categories compared to last year.
QS Global MBA Rankings 2026: Several institutes slip
Woxsen School of Business entered the 201–250 band for the first time. IIFT Delhi also made its debut in the 301+ category this year. Other institutes, such as XLRI Xavier School of Management, IMT Ghaziabad, IMI Kolkata, MDI Gurgaon, and Somaiya Vidyavihar University, ranked in the lower band this year, and many of them slipped compared to last year.
