According to the information received from the notification available on the official website, for the admission of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) students in Delhi schools (private), the annual income of the parents should be less than Rs 1 lakh.

What is the age eligibility for preschool and nursery?

According to the information received from the notification, children in the age group of 3 to 5 years are eligible to apply for the EWS and DG categories.

Whereas candidates between 3 to 7 years old are eligible to apply for the CWD or CWSN category.

What is the age eligibility for Pre Primary and KG?

EWS and DG Categories- Children aged 4 to 6 years are eligible to apply.

CWD or CWSN Categories – Candidates aged between 4 to 8 years are eligible to apply.

What is the age eligibility for Primary and Class 1?

EWS/DG Category: 5 to 7 years of age

CWD/CWSN Category: 5 to 9 years of age

It is to be noted that private schools in the national capital must reserve 25% of their seats for students belonging to economically weaker sections (EWS), disadvantaged groups, and children with special needs (CWSN). As per the norms, the allotment of these EWS seats will be based on a computer lottery system. The lucky draw list for the academic year 2024-25 will be released on May 20.
