Exam Pattern
In Tier-I, candidates will have to solve 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into five parts: Current Affairs, General Studies, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning/Logical Aptitude, and English. Each question will be of 1 mark, and there will be a negative marking of ¼ mark for the wrong answer. The total time fixed for this tier is 1 hour.

In Tier-II, candidates have to solve a descriptive paper of 50 marks, which includes an Essay of 20 marks, English Comprehension of 10 marks, and two long-answer questions of 20 marks (Topics: Current Affairs, Economics, Socio-Political Issues, etc.). The total time allotted for this tier is 1 hour.

Tier-III (Interview): This stage is of personal assessment. In this, the personality, communication skills, decision-making ability, and general and current knowledge of the candidate are tested. This stage is of 100 marks, and the final selection is decided based on this performance.

Shortlisting of candidates for Tier-II and Tier-III

Candidates securing the minimum cut-off marks in Tier-I will be shortlisted for Tier-II based on 10 times the number of vacancies.

This number may increase depending on the cut-off and vacancies in different categories. The same rule applies to Tier-III also, but limited to 5 times the number of vacancies.

Candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-III/Interview based on combined performance in Tier-I and Tier-II, provided a minimum of 33% marks (17 out of 50) are obtained in Tier-II.

How will the final merit be prepared?

The final merit list will be prepared based on combined performance in Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III. Selection for the post will be subject to successful completion of character, antecedent verification, and medical examination.

It is mandatory for the candidates to follow the instructions given in the Admit Card/Call Letter of Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III.
