HP Board: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala, has released the dates for online applications for the supplementary examinations for the Matric (10th) and Two (12th) classes. This supplementary examination will be conducted in June/July 2026. Students may apply online within the stipulated timeframe.
The Board has also clarified that complete information regarding the application process, along with the schedule, will be available on the official website or in the relevant notice.

Which Students Are Eligible?
Compulsory Improvement Category (Class 10 Only): Students who have passed at least 3 out of 5 subjects may retake the examination for the 2 subjects in which they failed. Additionally, if they wish, they may also appear for an improvement examination in 1 subject that they have already passed.
Optional Improvement Category (Class 10 Only): Students who have passed all subjects may appear for improvement examinations in a maximum of 3 subjects to enhance their scores. Compartment Category (Class 10 Only): Students who have been placed in the compartment category (i.e., have failed) may appear for the examination in accordance with the Board's regulations. Such students also have the option to appear for improvement examinations in up to two subjects they have previously passed, should they wish to do so.
Compartment Category (Class 12 Only): Students who have been placed in the compartment category in Class 12 may reappear for the examination by filling out the examination form as per the prescribed rules.
Optional Improvement Category (Class 12 Only): Students who have already passed Class 12 may reappear for the examination in one or more subjects to improve their marks.
Examination Guidelines Issued by the Board:
Students must fill out and submit their examination forms online through their respective schools/institutions within the stipulated timeframe.
New students will not be permitted to appear for the examinations scheduled for June/July 2026.
No change of subjects will be permitted following the main examination, unless explicitly allowed by the Board's regulations.
The marks obtained in Internal Assessment and Practical Examinations during the main examination will be carried forward. Generally, no separate practical examinations will be conducted for these candidates.
Incomplete forms or applications submitted incorrectly will not be accepted.
In the final result, only the higher marks obtained between the two examinations will be taken into consideration.
