Here is important news for students aspiring to study at the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC). The entrance exam process for admission to Class 8 for the July 2027 session has commenced. The examination fee is ₹1,000 for the General category, children of defense personnel and ex-servicemen, and OBC-NCL candidates (central list). The fee is set at ₹750 for SC and ST candidates. An additional fee of ₹500 will be charged for late applications. OBC-NCL candidates must verify whether their caste is included in the central OBC list before applying; candidates listed only in the state OBC list will not be eligible for this reservation benefit.
**Written exam on December 6**
The RIMCEE written examination will be held on December 6, 2026. The duration of the exam will be 4 hours and 30 minutes. Following the exam, the answer sheets, question paper sets, and answer keys will be released on the NTA website. The result of the written examination is scheduled to be declared by February 20, 2027. A second-stage oral examination for successful candidates may be held in April 2027; the specific dates will be announced later on the NTA and RIMC websites.

RIMC is considered a premier institution for preparation for military services. In NDA-1 2025, the top three candidates were all from RIMC, while five students from the college secured positions in the top 10.
