Whenever the festive season approaches, e-commerce companies launch sales. Platforms like Flipkart, Amazon, and others offer a wide range of deals, leading to a record number of orders. Naturally, a higher volume of orders creates a greater demand for delivery partners. Consequently, there is a significant surge in job openings during these months, allowing delivery personnel to earn a substantial income. In this article, we will explain how to secure a job with e-commerce platforms like Flipkart, Blinkit, and Amazon, and what kind of earnings you can expect from door-to-door delivery work.

How do you get a job as a delivery person?
If you are over 18 years of age, you are eligible to work as a delivery person for an e-commerce company. Such roles are often facilitated by third-party logistics providers. Additionally, many e-commerce platforms have dedicated apps where you can register. Once you sign up on the app, you will need to upload specific documents, such as your Aadhaar card, driving license, PAN card, and details regarding your vehicle (bike or bicycle). Following this, you will undergo a one-day training session, after which your ID will be activated.

You might wonder how to connect with these service providers. You can search for the company’s name on Google to locate their nearest warehouse. Alternatively, the simplest method is to ask a delivery person directly for information on how to apply.

To qualify for this job, you must be able to read English and Hindi.
You must be proficient in using a smartphone.
You are required to own a bike and possess a valid driving license.

What is the salary like?
Salaries on e-commerce platforms vary depending on the city. Work arrangements can be either permanent or on a daily basis. Some delivery partners are hired specifically for the festive season and are paid on a daily wage basis, while others may serve as permanent delivery partners for the company. You cannot work a part-time job through E-Kart. Typically, during sales events, vendors hire individuals who are paid on a per-delivery basis.

In such roles, one can earn a salary ranging from 15,000 to 20,000 rupees. Delivery personnel working on a daily basis are paid between 15 and 20 rupees per delivery, with the exact amount depending on the city where the work is being performed. Additionally, incentives or bonuses are provided for completing a higher number of deliveries.
