To be eligible for caste certificate in Delhi, the applicant has to fulfill certain conditions. The first and foremost thing is that the applicant should be a permanent resident of Delhi. They should also belong to the caste recognized as Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, or Other Backward Class through the Government of India. Documentary proof should be available for this. If the applicant or his family has migrated from another state, then proof of caste certificate from the previous state has to be submitted. Also, the applicant should not have a similar certificate from any other state or union territory.

A- Proof of residence (Aadhaar card/voter ID card/passport)
B- Documents verifying age (birth certificate/school certificate)
C- Parents' caste certificate
D- Affidavit declaring caste and residential status
E- Recently taken a passport-size photo
Online application process for caste certificate in Delhi
The Delhi government has made this process digital and made it convenient for the residents-
1- Visit the official Delhi e-District portal.
2- If you have not yet registered on the site, then first register, this will also be done immediately from the same portal.
3- Log in using your credentials and select the 'Issuance of Caste Certificate' service.
4- Fill in the required and requested information and upload the required documents.
5- Submit the application and note down the application ID for future login.
You can download your caste certificate in this way.
First of all, go to the official website of Delhi Government's e-District portal.
If you have not registered yet, you will have to create an account. You can register by providing basic information like your name, mobile number and email.
After logging in, you have to click on the 'Download Certificate' option on the website.
You will be asked to enter your application number, which you must have received while applying for the caste certificate.
After entering your application number, click on the 'Search' button.
If your certificate is ready, you will see the 'Download' option. Click on it to download your caste certificate.
As soon as you click, your certificate will be downloaded and sent to your saved files.

His candidature was rejected because his caste certificate was issued by the Rajasthan Government.
