Haryana Schools Closed: Schools in this state adjacent to Delhi have been closed, with online classes until the fifth grade..
Panchkula (Haryana School Closed): In view of the increasing pollution in Haryana, the Directorate of Education has decided to close physical classes up to the fifth grade in schools in the Delhi NCR region. The Haryana Education Directorate has issued a letter to the Deputy Commissioners of all districts, stating that the Air Quality Index in Delhi NCR is very high. Therefore, as per the guidelines, only online classes should be conducted for children up to the fifth grade. This rule applies to all government and private schools.
The Directorate of Education's letter states that the increase in pollution in the Delhi NCR region of Haryana is a matter of concern. Therefore, online or hybrid mode may be adopted to continue the education of children up to the fifth grade. Children will study from home for the next few days. It also states that district Deputy Commissioners should consider urban and rural areas when deciding to close schools. The letter states that any decision regarding a school for which the DC takes place will be required to inform the Academic Haryana.
Delhi Pollution: AQI as high as Delhi in many cities!
In light of the severe air pollution in Delhi and the NCR, the Haryana government's Directorate of Education has ordered the closure of schools up to Class 5. This decision was taken, particularly in light of the worsening situation in Haryana districts bordering Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), where pollution levels have reached the "red zone." Increased humidity, combined with stubble burning and vehicle exhaust, has led to the AQI being in the severe category. This has made breathing in the open air difficult. Cities like Jind recorded an AQI of 418.
Haryana Schools: A letter has been sent to all Haryana DCs.
DCs can take major decisions.
The third phase of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) restrictions is in effect in the districts of Delhi and the NCR, which mandates the closure of physical classes up to Class 5. The Haryana Directorate of Education has issued a letter to all district DCs, directing them to assess the AQI levels and the severity of the cold in their districts. The Directorate has given the power to the District Deputy Commissioners to take the final decision on whether to conduct classes up to class 5 in online mode or keep them closed, as per the situation in their area.
