Scholarship: This initiative is a big step towards strengthening scientific and academic cooperation among the Quad countries.
India has launched an important scholarship initiative for students of the Indo-Pacific region. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the scheme after the Quad summit held in Wilmington, Delaware. These scholarships will be given for a 4-year undergraduate engineering program at a technical institute funded by the Government of India.
Each Quad Fellow will get a one-time financial grant of $40,000 (about Rs 33.39 lakh) to meet academic expenses. At present, the detailed eligibility criteria have not been announced but will be released soon.

The fellowship aims to promote innovation and collaboration among the Quad countries (India, US, Australia, Japan). The program will also provide networking and programming opportunities with top scientists, technologists, and politicians from each country. It aims to develop a fundamental understanding of different societies and cultures among the fellows.
