Candidates for the SSC GD Constable recruitment are selected through a multi-stage process involving a written examination, document verification, medical tests, and other assessments. The written examination serves as the initial stage of the government job selection process; candidates who successfully clear this stage are subsequently shortlisted for the next round. Candidates who meet or exceed the cutoff marks in the written examination proceed to participate in the Document Verification (DV) and Physical Standard Test (PST) stages.
Number of Vacancies
This SSC GD recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 25,487 vacancies. Through this process, Constables will be recruited for various forces, including the BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, AR, SSF, and NCB.
SSC GD Exam 2026 Cheating: Cheating Incidents in the SSC GD Exam
The SSC is currently conducting the GD Constable examinations nationwide. During this ongoing process, a "solver gang" (a group specializing in facilitating cheating) from Bihar has been exposed. A police team detained six individuals at an online examination center in Ranchi who were found to be engaging in cheating during the exam. Subsequent interrogation revealed that the solver gang had struck a deal with each candidate, agreeing to ensure their success in the examination for a sum of ₹13 lakh per candidate. The arrangement included a stipulation that an installment of ₹2 lakh would be paid after the examination was concluded.
BPSC TRE 4 Recruitment 2026: Advertisement Expected in April
In an official podcast regarding the TRE 4 recruitment, the BPSC had previously indicated that the notification for the teacher recruitment drive was likely to be issued between April 25 and April 26. The application process was scheduled to commence thereafter. While the notification was indeed issued, it sparked a debate regarding the introduction of a two-tier examination system—comprising both preliminary and main exams—which subsequently led to increased resentment among the students.
When will the notification be released?
Following protests regarding the Bihar teacher recruitment drive, Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari sought to reassure the candidates, stating that the notification for TRE 4 would be released shortly. Acknowledging the delay in the advertisement, he also stated that the very day he assumed charge of the Education Department, he found himself out on the streets.
