GATE 2026 exam will be held on 7, 8, 14 and 15 February 2026 (GATE 2026 Exam Date). The result of the exam will be released on 19 March 2026. For your information, let us tell you that the score of the GATE exam will be valid for 3 years. GATE 2026 registration process will start from 25 August 2025. Application can be made till 25 September 2025 without late fee.

GATE Exam 2026 Syllabus New Changes: Major Change in Syllabus
A major change has been made this time in the GATE exam syllabus (GATE 2026 Syllabus). A new section of 'Energy Science' has been added to the Engineering Science paper for next year's exam. The exam will be for a total of 30 papers. Candidates can choose a maximum of two papers.
GATE Exam 2026 Pattern: Exam Pattern
The GATE exam will be conducted for a total of 100. Its paper will be in English language.
General Aptitude (GA): 15 marks in all papers
Remaining papers: 85 marks for subject-specific papers

1 or 2 marks will be awarded for each correct answer (depending on the question)
1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer carrying 1 mark
2/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer carrying 2 marks
