GATE 2027: Registration for the GATE exam will not start today, schedule has changed..

GATE 2027 Registration Date: IIT Madras has revised the registration schedule for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). According to the revised schedule, the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) will now open on August 27, 2026. Previously, the application process was scheduled to begin on August 14.

As per the new schedule, candidates can apply during the regular period until September 27, 2026. The extended application period will conclude on October 5, 2026.

The date for the release of admit cards has not yet been finalized.
The result will be declared on March 19, 2027.

Which documents should be kept ready before applying?

GATE scores are used for admission to M.Tech, M.E., M.S., and other postgraduate and doctoral programs at various institutions, including IITs, NITs, and IIITs.
