GATE 2027: IIT Madras is expected to release a new schedule for GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2027 registration soon. Registration was initially scheduled to begin on August 27, but the institute subsequently postponed it without announcing a new date. According to the official GATE 2027 portal, new dates for the application window will be announced shortly.

This marks the second time IIT Madras has delayed the start of the registration process; however, the reason for the delay has not been disclosed. IIT Madras had originally planned to start registration on August 14, a date that was later shifted to August 27. It has now been delayed indefinitely.

When will the GATE 2027 exam be held?
According to the schedule previously released by IIT Madras, the GATE exam is set to be conducted on February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027. Although the registration process has been postponed twice, there have been no updates regarding any changes to the exam schedule itself.

1. Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) Students
Those currently studying in the 3rd year or higher of a recognized degree program, such as:
B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Pharm. → 3rd year or higher
B.Arch. / Naval Architecture / Planning → 3rd year or higher
B.Sc. (Research) / B.S. → 3rd year or higher
B.Sc. / B.A. / B.Com. / BCA → 3rd year or degree completed

2. Medical and Pharmacy Students
