Good quality image of the signature of the candidate
Scanned copy of a valid photo identity document (ID) (the same ID to be produced in original while appearing for GATE 2026 exam at the centre)
Scanned copy of Category (SC/ST) certificate, if applicable, in PDF format
Scanned copy of UDID (Preferred)/Person with Disabilities certificate, if applicable, in PDF format
Scanned copy of Dyslexic certificate, if applicable, in PDF format
Relevant attachments, if applicable, in PDF format
Eligibility to apply
Candidates who are currently pursuing 3rd or higher year of a degree programme are eligible to apply for GATE 2026. Candidates who have obtained a degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities from a recognized institute can apply for it.
Candidates with certificates must ensure that their examinations are approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC as equivalent to BE/BTech/BArch/BPlanning etc. Candidates who have obtained/are pursuing these qualification degree programs abroad can also apply.
What is the last date to apply
Candidates interested in GATE 2026 can apply till 28 September without late fee. At the same time, candidates will be able to apply after this date (28 September) with late fee till 9 October 2025.
When will the result be released
According to the information available on the official website, the result of this examination will be released on 19 March.
