GATE 2026 Registration Extended: Apply with Late Fee by 13 October 2025

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has extended the registration deadline for GATE 2026 with late fees. Candidates can now submit their applications up to 13 October 2025 via the official website: gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Earlier, the last date for late registration was 9 October 2025.

Exam & Result Dates

• GATE 2026 Exam: 7, 8, 14, and 15 February 2026

• Result Declaration: 19 March 2026

Eligible candidates include graduates and final-year students in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, and Arts/Humanities. There is no age limit for appearing in the exam.

How to Apply for GATE 2026

1. Visit the official website gate2026.iitg.ac.in.

2. Click on the “Apply Online” link on the homepage.

3. Complete your registration by filling in the required details.

4. Fill out the GATE 2026 application form and upload all necessary documents.

5. Pay the application fee online and submit the form.

6. Take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

Application Fee

• Female candidates, SC/ST, and PwD: ₹1,500 per paper

• Other candidates (including foreign nationals): ₹2,500 per paper

• Payment must be made online through the portal.
