IIT Guwahati has clarified that the new date for the admit card release will be announced soon, and the information will be shared through the official website and notices.

While the delay in the admit card release has caused some concern among students, the examination authority has appealed to candidates not to panic and to regularly check the official website. As soon as the new date is finalized, all necessary information will be shared.

Mock Test Link Activated

Meanwhile, there is some good news for students: the GATE 2026 mock test link has been activated. IIT Guwahati has launched the mock test facility on its official website so that candidates can assess their preparation level before the actual exam. Taking the mock test helps students understand the question pattern, how to manage time effectively, and what precautions to take during the computer-based test.

The GATE exam is considered extremely important every year for engineering and science students. It opens doors to higher education in top institutions like IITs, NITs, and other prestigious colleges across the country. In addition, many government and private companies recruit based on GATE scores. Therefore, students are preparing diligently for GATE 2026.

When will the exam be held?

Regarding the exam dates, GATE 2026 will be conducted at various examination centers across the country. The exam will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. The examination will be entirely computer-based, meaning students will have to answer the questions in online mode. The answer key and other information will also be released periodically after the exam.

IIT Guwahati has also clarified that the GATE 2026 results will be declared on March 19, 2026. After the results are released, candidates will be able to download their scorecards, which can be used for further admissions or job applications.
