GATE 2025: Indian Institute of Technology (III) Roorkee has revised the registration date for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. Accordingly, registration for GATE is starting from today, 28 August. The application window is opening today. Interested and eligible candidates can register for the GATE exam through the official website - gate2025.iltr.ac.in. Candidates can apply without a late fee till September 26, after which the registration window will be closed.
According to the schedule released by the institute, the GATE exam will be conducted in two sessions on February 1, 2, 15, and 16 at several examination centers in the country. The first shift of the exam will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the second shift will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
The GATE exam is conducted for admission to Masters in Technology (MTech) and direct PhD courses in Indian Institutes of Technology (IIIS), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other institutes/universities across India. Many public sector undertakings (PSUs) and state electricity boards (SEBs) also accept GATE for recruitment of trainee engineers and scientists to Group C-level positions.
Application Fee
The fee for the GATE exam is Rs 900 for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PWD) categories as well as female candidates. The registration fee for all other candidates is Rs 1,800. The application fee should be paid online through credit, debit card, or net banking.
How to Apply
First of all, register for GATE by providing your email address and mobile number to get your enrollment ID and password to log in to the application system.
Then students have to fill out the GATE 2025 application form by providing personal details, educational qualifications, and other information.
Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and other relevant documents.
Finally pay the GATE registration fee online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.
After completing the application form, submit it online.
