Currently, the registration process for NEET UG 2025 and JEE Mains 2025 session 2 is ongoing and today is the last date to apply for the UPSC exam 2025. Students who have passed or are doing the 12th board examination in the science stream from CBSE Board, CISCE or any other state board can appear in JEE and NEET exams. At the same time, a bachelor's degree is required for the UPSC CSE exam. Every year 20 to 30 lakh children appear for NEET and JEE exams.
At the same time, lakhs of candidates apply for the examinations of State Public Service Commissions including UPSC. However, a much larger number of candidates take admission in coaching every year to prepare for NEET, JEE UPSC, and State Public Service Commission examinations. These coaching institutes have a hefty fee, which is not possible for every candidate to pay and meritorious students fall behind. Given this, the central government has updated the coaching scheme for students appearing for UPSC, JEE, NEET, and State Public Service Commissions. PM Care Fund will be used for this.
Candidates of all castes will get the benefit.
Through this coaching scheme, the central government will provide coaching to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) across the country as well as students coming under the PM-CARES scheme for the preparation of JEE Mains, NEET, UPSC, and State Service Examination. Every student will get the benefit of this coaching and no one will be excluded based on caste.
There will be a relaxation in income rules.
This free coaching scheme started during the sixth five-year plan of the central government, has undergone several amendments in the last few years to increase its effectiveness. This includes giving benefits to PM-CARES beneficiaries and removing the rules related to caste and income for students of this category. Under this scheme, students will get coaching for various competitive exams along with NEET, and JEE.
Free coaching for JEE and NEET
Under this scheme of government, preparation will be done for the prestigious engineering exam IIT JEE, the prestigious medical exam (NEET), the management exam (CAT), and the law exam i.e. CLAT. Not only this, the central government will also provide coaching for standardized exams to students who wish to study abroad.
Coaching for civil services
Under this coaching scheme of the central government, candidates will be prepared for the civil services examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission and State Public Service Commissions. Along with this, candidates will also be prepared for officer-grade recruitment exams related to banks, insurance companies, and public sector undertakings (PSUs).
3 thousand students are selected every year
A total of 3,500 students will be selected annually under this scheme. In the case of PM-CARES beneficiaries, there will be no limit on the number of students getting admission under the scheme. In this coaching of the central government, 30 percent of the total seats in each category will be reserved for female candidates. 70 percent of seats will be reserved for SC students while 30 percent of seats will be reserved for OBC students.
