NBEMS has released the results for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) June 2026. This exam is intended for students who have completed their MBBS abroad and wish to obtain the necessary qualification to practice as doctors in India. Number of successful candidates vs. those who did not pass
A total of 37,448 candidates appeared for the FMGE June 2026 exam. Of these, 5,086 candidates passed, while 31,645 were unsuccessful. Additionally, 1,148 candidates did not appear for the exam. A large number of students participate in this exam every year, as it is mandatory for foreign medical graduates to clear it in order to practice medicine in India.
When will the scorecard be available and for how long?
According to NBEMS, candidates will be able to download their individual scorecards starting July 16, 2026. The scorecard will contain the marks obtained by the candidate and other essential information. The board has clarified that the scorecard will remain available on the website for only six months from the date of its release. Therefore, all candidates should download and securely save their scorecards well in time. These will not be reissued after the deadline.

To download the scorecard, first visit the official NBEMS website. Next, click on the ‘FMGE June 2026 Scorecard’ link. Enter your User ID and password (or the required login credentials). Once logged in, your scorecard will appear on the screen. Download it and take a printout to keep safe for future reference.
Can the scorecard be used for medical registration?
NBEMS has clarified that the scorecard downloaded from the website is not a valid document for medical registration. Candidates will require the FMGE Pass Certificate to register with the Medical Council. This pass certificate will be issued to candidates in person after the verification of documents and identity is completed. Details regarding the date and venue for the distribution of the pass certificate will be announced later on the official NBEMS website.
What did the Board say regarding incorrect questions?
The Board stated that a team of experts re-examined all the questions and answers from the examination. Marks were awarded to all candidates for questions found to contain technical errors. For questions with two correct answers, full marks were awarded to candidates who selected either of the correct options. This ensured that no candidate faced any injustice.
